Continuing in the series from the Beatitudes, Nate speaks on the important place mourning should have in our lives. No one enjoys being sad or crying, yet mourning naturally brings us closer to God than we tend to when all is going well. Nate also discusses the importance of godly sorrow (mourning) over our sin.
Tonight, Nate spoke of issues facing our country and, by extension, the Lord’s church. The Ecclesiastes writer tells us that, “there is nothing new under the sun.” The world has become very intolerant of anyone who thinks differently.
Hide and seek is a cute game with our children, but it doesn’t work well with God. We can’t ever run from the presence of the Lord. We must do as He commands us!

Nate began a series this morning on the beatitudes of Jesus in Matthew 5. These basic truths of God’s Word each come with a blessing to those give heed to the words of Jesus.
Dr. Payne gave another lesson showing how reasonable it is to believe in an Intelligent Designer. This evening he spoke of the intelligence displayed in the universe.
We had a visiting preacher with us this weekend, Dr. H.E.”Buddy” Payne, of Tampa, FL. He spoke on scientific evidences for a Creator. He argued from a cellular level, how reasonable it is to believe in an Intelligent Designer. Dr. Payne received his Masters in Science Education and Ph.D in Mathematics Education.
We are justified by faith. That kind of faith causes action!
